"The Book of Beltane" is the second in a year-long series of songs – one for each season, following the cross-quarter Pagan Sabbats as a guide. On Beltane, ancient peoples celebrated the earth's return to life with rituals and bonfires – celebrations that sought to cast off the brutal winter in exchange for the promise of summer. In this song, we explore that promise of a cold earth awakening.
