I will never forget her.

If it were not for Sidheag, my pilgrimage would have led to my death. She found me in Orofa'ir Forest, and not only was I lost, but a wild boar was attacking me. The brave woman shot it with one sure arrow from her bow and thus saved my life.

She escorted me to the safety of Rheinhurn. Not long after my coming home to Dhrumein, I was sought out by a friend who had visited the castle of Dhurrenhelm. He had the most tragic news. Sidheag of the Dhurrenhelm clan had been participating in a bear hunt, but instead of sighting a full-grown bear she had come upon a bear cub. Only moments later, the mother of the cub appeared and fiercely protected her young, attacking Sidheag. She fired an arrow at the bear, but it did nought to stop her. The rest of the hunting party found the remains of Sidheag some hours later.

North of the castle, on the way to the forest, a cairn was built. Months later I visited the final resting place of Sidheag, now lovingly called "The Huntress", and as I stood there, I saw an eagle soaring high above me. And I thought of the heroine who had saved me. Maybe she now saw what the eagle saw: her beloved land, and the forest where she once rescued an old man.
