This album is the third demo of Lunar Womb. It is currently the only solo album that the artist Henri "Trollhorn" Sorvali has done, and in his words, the only one he will probably ever do. Originally the demo was intended for a cassette release, but it was never published when it was ready due to personal and artistic reasons. For all intents and purposes, "The Sleeping Green" can be considered to have been released in 1999. In 2015, it was rediscovered and was given a remastering, and finally it was re-released on Bandcamp in 2016. There was also a special cassette release to commemorate it in 2016, which included one previously unreleased bonus track from 1997, "Eben Ocean."
