Additional Details
A unique and shocking album for a unique time in our history. Hot off the heels of our own Prime Minister testing positive for COVID-19, 'Vermillion', the 13th album from Infernal Symphony, is a curveball, detour and collection of 11 earworm tracks that only Demonic Bishop's frenzied mind could dream up. The most surprising thing about this metal / ambient / retrowave mash up? That it WORKS.
Taking fresh inspiration like never before, and productively using downtime from the UK lockdown enforced to limit the spread of COVID-19, 'Vermillion' is a shot in the dark, a totally shocking departure from the usual Infernal Symphony fare, and sounds unlike anything else we have released!
This album was again written in a span of only 7 short days, much like previous album 'Pandemic', as a direct response to the human casualty and unprecedented day to day disruption caused by this global emergency. Demonic Bishop has felt conflicted, shocked and terrified by this surreal horror movie come to life in real time, and this is very much reflected by the jarring, hypnotic, yet succinct music that stands before you.
Filled with groove, injected with melody, and stuffed with suprising moments, the tracks contained within perfectly reflect... the revolving door of emotions an epidemic of this magnitude evokes. Equal parts demented, drug-fueled heaviness, and serene, funky 80s rock, these polar opposites reflect the evil of coronavirus, and the surreal way of beating it - by sitting at home and having fun.
To those with an open mind, this could quite possibly not only be the most inspired album of our career - It may even be one of our best.
Demonic Bishop wanted to create something that perfectly encapsulated the horror and fear generated by this virus - but also add some moments of levity as well - a moment or two of cheer and calm, perhaps, to aid those who listen through this dark time with an entertaining, intriguing and addictive listen.more

This album was created in its entirity using only my mobile phone and Korg Synthesisers.
All tracks created, mixed, edited, recorded and mastered by Demonic Bishop during self isolation and unprecedented nationwide UK lockdown during the Coronavirus outbreak. Even typing those words seems so surreal to me.
For fans of Dream Theater, Rush, Carpenter Brut, Buckethead, Funk, TOOL, Stratovarius and all good music, metal or not.
Thanks to all who support this album. It is not typical of my usual sound, but instead reflective of my immediate feelings and more personal than anything else I have ever written.
