Corpus Delicti, the first release by Infernal Symphony in 2018, is 25 minutes of our most disgustingly morbid material to date. A semi-sequel to our last full-length, "Psychopathic Remains", this dingey 25 minute EP is all about atmosphere, anguish and reanimation.

Our first true concept release, "Corpus Delicti" tells the story of a murder victim from the moment of his death, and what transpires afterward, in reverse order. This, along with the revamped production and sound quality, along with a heavier approach and emphasis on flowing, seamless song structure and a more layered, dynamic atmosphere, really do make it one of our standout releases, with a totally unique sound all of its own.

Slower, darker, yet simultaneously showing restraint when needed, this EP further establishes Infernal Symphony's consistency and continually maturing sound.

"Corpus Delicti" tells the tale of a murder victim being killed, and the crime scene that surrounds the body being sabotaged. After this, the body is taken by an unknown perpetrator to an... underground lab, and reanimated in a "Transfusion Cell". The blood of a heinous serial killer is used to pump life back into the corpse, overflowing into the cryogenic chamber and causing "Eruptions Through Flesh" as the monster begins to wreak havoc.

As the corpse reawakens into an undead state, it's previous consciousness is torn between two choices, and must fight to remain as it once was, or succumb to the power of the murderous blood coursing through its veins.

After "Picking The Painful Path" and ignoring the temptation of bloodlust brought on by its rebirth, the undead corpse turns on its creator, ending the misery of its unnatural existence and sealing its own fate - literally the final "Nails In The Coffin".

This EP is a thank you to all of the support our fans have shown last year, through our period of silence in lue of our hardware woes in December, and on into this new year.
