Another month, another Infernal Symphony album?! You thought wrong! Yes, Demonic Bishop has AGAIN found new, unrivalled depths of sonic onslaught to plumb, with this most unparalleled of albums. Our ongoing, relentless and unending quest for musical exploration continues undeterred!
And with it, comes the confoudingly-easy melding of three of our most praised and distinct sub-genres - Dungeon Synth, Black Metal and Avant Garde Synthwave. All three elements of this unholy trinity are present and correct in each of the 13 unbelievably enthralling tracks on display.
'Columns Of Deformity' effortlessly blends these separate entities of sound into an absolute clinic of the harshest, heaviest music we have made yet with some of our best production, clarity and musical ideas in years.
An entire new working, recording and writing process was created specifically for this album and it shows. Gone are the days of weak midi synth tracks and one-note, basic production, and in its place is a dynamic, mind-bending, gut-churning wall of sound featuring... guitars, bass, keyboards and even Vocals, for the first time in a main-line Infernal Symphony full length.
The beginning of a continued display of interconnected releases, the next of which will follow later in 2021 and beyond, this fresh blend of lo-fi aesthetics, hi-fi production values, vocals, crunch-ridden death metal guitaring and doomy Prog tunes is the herald of a new golden age for our material.
