After defeating the Cave Guardian and retrieving the Flamespear, our heroes travel to the Fountain of Remembrance, housed within the the Forest of Recollection, to find out how it will help them defeat the resurrected Ice Golem. But first they must take on the trial of fountain gnomes.

After passing the trial they are told to submerge the Flamespear within the fountains' waters and then they will learn how to defeat the Ice Golem.

The fountain takes our heroes back many centuries to a once prosperous town, much like their own. They are shown a young man named Cielegom, that has lost his parents and vows to go on a quest to find them.

He is told that the Elder Frost Magicians that dwell in the Forest of Shards may aid him in his quest to find his parents. Through many perils on the way, he finally reaches the hollow of the Elder Frost Magicians at the edge of the forest.

Making his way into their chamber, the doors close and lock on him as poisonous gas begins to fill the air. The Elder Frost Magicians appear before him telling him that he must become the Ice Golem, or he will perish among the toxic fumes, never able to reunite with... his long lost parents. He begrudgingly agrees and transforms into the Ice Golem as his heart is removed and placed within the confines of the Eternal Flamespear.

The Ice Golem must be reunited with his heart.

Our heroes thank the fountain gnomes for their aid and venture forth to do battle with the resurrected Ice Golem. This time, their hearts filled with an unstoppable vigor.
