Sumarið Þegar Hjartað Söng puts the spotlight on one of the hardest and most important moments of my life - an illness culminating in a heart transplant in the summer of 2001. It's no coincidence that it's the heaviest ᚼᛁᛆᚱᛐᛆᚿᛋ album so far and that is so focused on emotions: sadness, loss, dread, bittersweet joy... but also the spark of a new fire, a heart ablaze, elation without bounds. If you are struggling against monsters of your own, I hope you can find kinship, solace and courage through these songs.

The album has no official dedication. However, through every step of its creation, the memory of my anonymous heart donor was always close. Also, unbeknownst to them, it sings a vital passage in the history of L.I. and L.G., the two most recent parts of my heart.
