Dust wanders into the silent hall and looks upon King Prolix’s still face. His father’s face.
A hundred spirits rise, then, in that hall, from the banquet guests, from the royal family, and from the very depths of the Pale Crag itself. Spirits of long-dead Kings and Queens, warriors and poets. They rise from the catacombs, and they rise from the sea, and they join King Prolix in ghostly assembly.
