Pulse Gnarly is a disgraced former spy fleeing his old life as a villain in the Discorporeal Realm. He travels to the far Citadel of the Gorgonoids and enters the court of their king Xub Xeebu in the guise of a wise councellor. Yet secretly, Pulse foments a revolution among the hard-working but exploited Gorgonoid miners, soldiers, and scientists.

However, Xeebu has his own plans for Gorgonoid society, and soon the literal demons of Pulse's past rear their multitudinous heads when an Unholy Absecration Rite summons the Chaos deities themselves from the Infracosmic Plane.

Will the Free Gorgonoids prevail? Or will Pulse Gnarly be forced to betray them to appease his dark patrons and fulfill his terrible pact with the feared magical mercenary group Panspectral Battalion?
