The good citizens of Beligrad could finally breathe a sigh of relief. A Butcher from Savamala was hanged today in Zabela, the most heavily guarded prison in the country. For almost a year they had watched his long, pale face with burning eyes and a mocking smile on his lips as he sat casually in the courtroom, uninterested in the trial that, everyone was sure, would eventually lead to his execution. Every day in the media they could read and hear the most horrible details about the sadistic tortures he subjected his victims to. And as they watched him sit in the courtroom surrounded by guards, his relaxed demeanor irritated them and brought unrest to their souls. The Butcher did not give the impression of a man awaiting the gallows. He gave the impression of a man who is a bit bored, a man who casually stopped by the courtroom and is free to leave whenever he feels like it. And their fear did not disappear. Until today.

But, as soon as the living heaved a sigh of relief after the news that the murderer's execution had been carried out, the ghosts of the dead all over Beligrads cemeteries began to panic.

The spirits knew to which family the murderer belonged. They knew because the members of that family have been buried in the known and unknown cemeteries of Belgrade for a thousand years. It... was a family of killers, traitors, and poisoners. But also judges, ministers, nobles, industrialists, lawyers, and artists. They were always rich, always powerful, and always evil. Powerful enough to team up with a demon known as the Man in Black who, with the help of a ritual he knew, managed to bring the souls of these criminals from the gates of hell back to our world.

Now, only one question tormented and drove horror into the lost souls of Beligrad ghosts. In which graveyard will Butcher be buried? The inhabitants of which cemetery will become his victims? Only a pure soul can stop the Man in Black, but where in Beligrad can you find a man or woman with a pure soul? There was no hope.

And so coincidence chose that at dawn, secretly, three days after the execution, the Butcher from Savamala was buried in an unmarked grave in a small cemetery in the oldest and poorest part of the city. Across the street from the cemetery, in a dilapidated building that housed an orphanage, lived a little girl named Olga. Olga loved the graveyard and all the spirits that lived there, especially the mysterious child she named Shadow Boy.more
