Darksol is the dungeon synth solo project of L. R. Carlson, keyboardist for dark prog band Cloven Hand. Darksol I was performed and recorded in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Darksol I pays homage to Guardiana, the world of the classic Shining Force tactical role-playing games. Rather than adopt the chiptune VGM of the original game, L.R. expands on the sound, creating an expansive fantasy world where a band of heroes fight for their lives against the oncoming hordes of Runefaust.
Darksol I is being released by Realm and Ritual on cassette, limited to 50 professionally dubbed copies.
