NEDS Announcement:
Our fourteenth announced artist, Alder Deep , hails from the United States, and released “Wildemoeder” in August 2020.
Since exploding onto the scene in July 2017, the Alderen has built a fearsome and deeply personal mythology surrounding the lore of caves, the creatures therein, and those who communicate with nature. With elements of psychedelia and dungeon noise conjuring up the dank atmosphere of the depths, melodies emerge, covered in mud and soot, and retreat. The listener is compelled to follow them into subterra incognita, with fleeting moments of folk-inspired beauty, into the waiting jaws of the unknown. With the release of “Wildemoeder”, the setting of Alder Deep is further expanded. A wild woman with intimate knowledge of the unknown, lurks at the edge of the forest, and you must brace yourself, without judgement, against the sound of her gravelly song in order to learn what she knows of the entities beneath.
